These are the days you hope the Whiskey erases...
So my co-worker has a tendancy to stream radio into his cube pretty much every day. Usually not a problem, as I can generally get behind his choices in blues and early Motown. But this week? This week he's been worried about the economy, so he's had it tuned exclusively to news stations. Except for today. TODAY he said he was turning on "the news"... and tuned it IMMEDIATELY to Rush Limbaugh's show, with Who-the-fuck-ever filling in for him.

I'm too polite for my own good to say anything about, so by lunch time, I was ready to chew nails and spit fire. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! We should just all go back to "Father Knows Best?" We should return our society to an idealized television existence that never actually existed? And that - even if it did - was indeed GREAT... for white, Protestant, heterosexual males of middle to high affluence but kinda SUCKED for everyone else? That's where our society needs to go from here? And the ONLY way to defend my home against burglary is to own a handgun? Wow... wish I hadn't wasted my money on deadbolts, then. And don't even get me STARTED on the comment about John McCain not being able to control "one woman."

If anyone needs me, I'll be over here cringing. Don't mind the muffled thumping sound. That'll just be my head and the desk getting to know each other again.
